Title: Dolls for Computers

Summary: The Dolls for Computers project encourages participants to embrace their own cultural traditions and the traditions of others.

Description: The projects will involve schools all over the world interesting to participate in it. It focuses on children of elementary school from 5th to 7th grade. They will learn more about their culture and express it through handcrafts making, ballet, theatre and drawing. The Project will start with doll making and writing about the process of making the dolls. The other activities will follow. The project will contribute to enhancing education through the use of Information and Communication Technology and improving the living condition of the participants.

  • Contributions: The Dolls for Computers project encourages it’s participants to embrace their own cultural traditions and the traditions of others, thus diminishing preconceived stereotypes about foreign cultures. Conscious of the precarious state of our environment, the project tries to contribute to the protection of the environment by using recycled materials to fabricate the project dolls.
  • Outcomes:
    • Children will be aware of the importance of maintaining their own distinct culture
    • Students will learn basic business skills
    • Schools will have purchased computers with funds raised from sales of dolls
