Sri Aurobindo said "Flowers are the moments representations of things that are in themselves eternal." Flowers are very receptive and they are happy when they are loved. A flower symbolises openness, frankness, equality, generosity, and kindness. It is Frank: It hides nothing of its beauty and lets it flow frankly out of itself what is within. It is Equal: It has no preference. Everyone can enjoy its beauty and its perfume. Generosity: It gives the mysterious beauty .It sacrifices itself entirely for our pleasure. Kindness: It has such a tenderness. It is so sweet, so close to us, so loving. Its presence fills us with joy. It is always cheerful and happy. There is the influence of climate, the influence of the hour, the day and night, the influence of the time of the year, the influence of seasons. In this project, children can collect quotations on flowers. They can find out different uses of flowers in different parts of the world. They can be asked to write poems on flowers, or to grow flower plants. They can prepare a database of flowers with their scientific as well as vernacular names. They can draw pictures of flowers, and while drawing, they can add its messages or its qualities in a unique manner and put their imagination in their creation.
