Students fill out user-friendly online questionnaires, to create a dataset (classrooms or individual students in a city/state/country) that can be integrated into aspects of curriculum across academic disciplines (math, social studies, writing). With global participation, this project has the potential to offer valuable comparisons between students in different cities/countries all over the world. Findings will be compiled as each group completes the questionnaires (or will be compiled in real time if completed online). Comparison charts of interest to all participants will be published on the www.compasskidz.com website monthly, starting in August of 2007. The questionnaire is designed to compare aspects of everyday life that kids are interested in knowing about other kids, to encourage comparisons/contrasts/similarities/and self-reflection. Participating students can volunteer to send photos to be posted on the www.compasskidz.com website.
