The forum will serve as a platform for young people to be actively involved in their communities. Groups of students will be guided to work around Millenium Development Goals focusing focusing issues like environment, eradication of poverty, women education, education and literacy for and to respond some of these issues through a process of reflection , dialogue and action. Teachers will be encouraged to prepare their classes be community volunteers, engage them in community mapping and planning community service projects that focuses the identified themes as part of their classroom curriculum. Students and classrooms would partner with other social welfare government and non government organizations for effective implementation of the projects.

  • Summary: An action based collaborative on line project in which young people will get an opportunity to evaluate the social issues in their immediate and extended communities and respond to them by action projects.

  • Outcomes: At the end of each of the projects students will share their project details, experiences and outcomes in the form of simple reports, Power Point presentation, pictorial report or short 2 minutes videos. The project outcomes of the students will be displayed in the iEARN Annual Conference in Bukhara-Uzbekistan in July 2008.
