Summary: Learn about peace building through the eyes of Palestinian and Israeli peace and nonviolence activists.
Description: The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the most well-documented conflicts in the world, but few people know that thousands of Israelis and Palestinians are working together in peaceful ways to try to end it. Learning their stories will empower students with the understanding that individuals can have an impact on their own societies. “A Just Vision” introduces students to the stories of Israeli and Palestinian peace and nonviolence activists through the award-winning documentary film Encounter Point and Just Vision’s Online Network for Peace. The Classroom Screening Guide accompanies the film and presents discussion topics and activities that focus on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the importance of civic leadership in peace building, breaking stereotypes, and media literacy. As a final project, students may choose from a variety of suggested ways to get involved in promoting peace.
