Title: Local History Project

Summary: Students reseach and share the history of their own town or area, and learn from the findings of the peers in other parts of the world.

Description: Participants reseach the history of their town or area and post their findings in an on-line forum. Students practice research skills (interviews, letters, diaries and books) and gain an understanding of the significance of local history to their present lives. Cross-cultural comparisons are made from the international postings. A publication & WWW pages may be produced.
