Title: MDGs-Only with your voice

Summary: To create awareness about the Millennium Development Goals among the Youth that makes them able to achieve them, as it only possible with their voices.

Description: The Millennium Development Goals were adopted in 2000, during the United Nations Millennium Summit, when 189 head of States and Governments agreed to work together to make a better world to all by 2015. They have signed, on behalf of their people, the Millennium Declaration, which intends to make the right to development a reality to everyone. Rich and poor countries are committed to work together, in a global partnership, to achieve eight goals that were adopted. "It is not in the United Nations that the Millennium Development Goals will be achieved. They have to be achieved in each country by the joint efforts of the Governments and people." (Kofi Annam, United Nations Secretary - General) According to what Kofi Annam have said above, people should be involved in achieving the goals and the youth, around the world, are making a lot of efforts to make it possible. The United Nations itself is giving a special attention to this people under their campaign "Millennium Campaign - Voices Against Poverty". Besides this a lot of NGOs, movements and schools are encouraging their youth to understand the importance of this initiative and to be involved in actions that helps to achieve one specific goal or all of them. The awareness has been made in rich and poor communities and there are some successful experiences around the world. Some youth are developing really good activities and are helping their communities to increase their development in this global world. This project intends to increase the awareness among youth around the world regarding the Millennium development Goals, encouraging them to be involved in activities inside their schools, families and communities and helping each other to make this world a better place to live.
