Summary: A project to help youth learn how to improve their life in the place they live, and become active members of their community.
Description:
The purposes of the project:
• To participate in the district life
• To learn more about local governments
• To find out what they do for the youth on their territory
• To realize what young people can do to improve their life themselves and how they can communicate with the governments,
Stages of the project:
• Introducing participants to each other
• Discussing the ideas with the students at school - (to find out what local government is)
• Social monitoring – activities local government organize for youth, What can I do to change, to make life better
• Forum. Discussing problem with partners. Answer the question If I am a governor what would I change?
• Exchanging the results of work with partners – making presentations and creating websites, videoconferences
Timetable: September – October – introduction the groups to each other November, December – social monitoring January – February – sharing the results with partners March – April videoconferences between participants May – discussing the results of the year, preparing the youth forum with the local government.
